Love. Guts. High School.

Written and Produced by Jeanette Bonner

Directed by Peter Michael Marino

Set against the backdrop of high school, Jeanette Bonner’s biographical coming of age tale tells the story of  her ten year retrospective journey of love, identity, and the loss of innocence.  Told through a series of stories taken from Bonner’s own adolescence-to-adulthood diary entries,  the play follows the love, infatuations, laughs and losses of a young Bonner  as she  journeys  through teen years reliving  life and decisions made during the awkwardness of her ninth grade crush to her sassy “Beverly Hills 90210” teen sexuality.
The play dissects the treacherous landscape of teenage dating and reveals answers to one of life’s fundamental questions “How much can a messy teenage relationship alter or shape the person you become?”

Press

""The show was brilliant.  Bonner captured with real depth, the experience of being a teenager, morphing into adulthood."  - Mumble Theater

"A more considered piece on the changing way we see relationships as we get older. . . a coming-of-age tale for anyone who has ever loved, not been loved back, and persevered anyway." - The Scotsman

“I’m happy to say this solo show is actually a ruefully comic reflection on adolescent naiveté.  Bonner is a magnetic and precise performer… entertaining show.” - Drama Queen
